Round Two 2008/9

Round Two of the Allstar UK sponsored Youth Development Series will be held on 22nd/23rd November 2008 at The High School of Glasgow - near Anniesland Cross, Glasgow.

Please be aware, that the Foundation Council have recently become aware of another fencing competition which has been organised on the same weekend as the Youth Development Series Round 2 (YDS 2) event on 22^nd/23^rd November.

That causes us some issues around securing the helpers we rely upon to run the comp - so we had to decide should we go ahead with our planned date despite this clash, or not?

After many messages of support from fencers, coaches and parents (for which we would like to thank you all) - and searching through the calendar for alternative dates which would not impact on anything else that would be important specifically to our target fencers - like qualifying comps, or training weekends (which was pretty tough), we have decided that the best course of action we can take for the YDS fencers is to go ahead with YDS Round 2 as planned.
